Help Us Build Back North Buncombe and Yancey Counties

On the evening of Thursday, September 26th, 2024, Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida as a powerful Category 4 storm. By the morning of Saturday, September 28th, the residents of Western North Carolina woke to scenes of unimaginable devastation.

Helene’s fury had transformed the region into a sprawling wasteland of mud, debris, and wrecked vehicles. Entire communities were wiped out, lives were shattered, and Western North Carolina suffered immense destruction.

That’s when we decided to make a difference.

In the days following Hurricane Helene, crews from Sineath Construction and Tykke Builders were on the ground, providing critical support to those in need. Through generous donations, we raised funds to cover labor and material costs, allowing us to stabilize homes and prepare them for the colder months ahead. Our commitment to rebuilding goes beyond construction—it’s about strengthening and rebuilding communities when they need it most.

But we aren’t done.

Phase I

Phase II - The Joyners

We're building more than just a house—we're building hope. After carefully reviewing applications, we selected a family, Kisha and Daniel Joyner, who lost everything but continues to give selflessly to their community. With the support of grants and generous private donations, we're thrilled to break ground this spring on a brand-new home for this incredibly deserving couple. However, we can't do it alone. We still need your help to make this dream a reality. Whether through donations or spreading the word, every effort brings us one step closer to giving this family the fresh start they deserve.

Join us in making a lasting impact!

Our Mission

Our mission is to extend a helping hand to the people of North Buncombe and Yancey counties who have suffered storm damage and lack the financial means to recover. We are committed to transitioning from stabilizing homes to helping rebuild communities. Together, we aim to rebuild not just homes, but hope.

“To those who have supported us or are considering donating, we are forever grateful. We hope to pay this kindness forward, offering the same love and support that has been given to us.”

— Kisha Joyner
